Store items where you use them. Conquering clutter in your home is much easier when you keep items near where you use them. Why? Because it is easier to find the item you want, use it, then put it away when you’re finished.
If you really want to control clutter, make sure you perform the last critical step — put the item away! Clutter is the result of items that do not have a home or have not been put away.
Ask yourself: Is the item kept where it is used? If not, look for ways to carve out the necessary storage space. When you do, you’ll take one more step in the direction of a clutter-free home!
